Our Client

Established in 1994, our client is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation who provides a range of services for Aboriginal people living within the Wodonga area. Their aim is to strengthen their cultural values and connection to the area whilst achieving economic independence, self-determination and preservation. 

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Local Justice Worker to join their organisation in Wodonga, VIC, with the potential to earn an Above Award Salary + Superannuation | Part Time Casual Role With Salary Sacrificing on Offer.

The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for providing case management and facilitating access to a range of support services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander Women and their children who have experienced violence. 

Reporting directly to the Community Services Team Leader some of your responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating access to a range of support services such as counselling, spiritual healing programs, accommodation, legal and Women’s and Children’s services
  • Liaising regularly with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal services including ACJP, Police, and Women’s Family Violence services
  • Maintaining all correspondence and administration duties relevant to the position 
  • Facilitating linkages to promote Aboriginal Family Violence issues
  • Undertaking program reporting, monitoring and evaluation requirements


To be successful in this role you will preferably have a Certificate IV in community services and/or relevant community service experience. You will also have experience working with Aboriginal Women in family violence and related issues a demonstrated understanding and commitment to Aboriginal Women, Children, and community.

You will have a current drivers licence and have, or be willing to obtain, a Victorian working with Children check and Victorian police check

Someone with highly developed interpersonal and liaison skills and the ability to work effectively within a team would be ideal.
