They provide licenses, support, training and consulting to some of Australia's biggest engineering, construction and manufacturing businesses all the way down to the manufacturing cottage industry.
Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their company in Melbourne, Victoria with the potential to earn an excellent package (negotiable salary +super +commissions).
The primary purpose of this position is to manage existing clients whilst uncovering new license, consulting, support and training sales opportunities.
As a Business Development Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a strong client base and uncovering new sales opportunities using all forms of communication
- Canvassing to companies who may require design/engineering software licences and services
- Preparing proposals, presentations and delivering software demonstrations
- Closing sales opportunities found from repeat business and referrals
To be successful in this role you must have worked in a Design Engineering role or similar (ideally in a CAD design environment), have an understanding of the software/technology and have ideally had some previous sales or client management experience.
You will also possess excellent communication skills (especially with the ability to represent and articulate products to clients) and be ethical, energetic and professional.
It would be looked at favourably if you have an Engineering degree/qualification.
You must also hold a valid drivers license and own a vehicle to attend client meetings.
