About The Opportunity

They are looking for a Business Manager to join their company in Blacktown, NSW. 

The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for the management and leadership of the ACT Region, actively leading a multidisciplinary team of allied health, educational and administrative staff.

Reporting directly to the Directors, General Manager & Client Services some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Increase the level of new individuals, families, and carers in ACT accessing and purchasing services and supports of their choice
  • Monitor and report the change in the patterns of how ACT services are purchased
  • Report the level of engagement with the Launch Transition Agencies
  • Accurately communicate the key goals of the organisation to staff and others
  • Actively lead a multidisciplinary team of allied health, educational and administrative staff
  • Manage the ongoing recruitment, induction, and training of staff within the service
  • Manage fortnightly staffing rosters in consultation with staff and line manager to meet individuals needs
  • Ensure the nominated service/s completes and meets all regulatory and organisational requirements, always striving for best practice

About You 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 5+ years experience in the management of a community based or disability service
  • 7+ years’ experience in relevant allied health position
  • Extensive knowledge of NDIS and its policies, procedures and compliance
  • Experience in service delivery to children or adults with a disability
  • Proven ability to bring in new business/partnerships
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Exchange/Outlook and basic skills in Excel

You must also have the following:

  • A current driver’s license
  • A Certificate IV in Frontline Management and Disability Services
  • Tertiary qualifications in appropriate allied health / social science degree
  • Graduate Diploma or better in Management/Business
  • Training/qualifications in mentoring and coaching
