Our client is a Melbourne based, Australian owned fire safety engineering consultancy. They have local and national expertise in all building types, occupancies and configurations. 

About The Opportunity

They are looking for an Office Assistant to join their company in Mitcham, VIC. There will be opportunities to progress in this role, depending on the ambition and aptitude of the successful candidate which may include; senior administration, technical, accounts, debt collection, and event management.

Reporting to the Director some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administration support for the office and our engineering team
  • Managing communication and information in the office
  • Answering incoming calls and responding or directing them appropriately
  • Reviewing incoming emails and responding or directing them appropriately
  • Data entry for new project enquiries
  • Purchasing office essentials
  • Other engineering and office support functions

About You 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience dealing with customers or clients in an office or professional environment
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly and engaging personality
  • VCE English and higher education level
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using 3CX softphones, Microsoft Outlook and Word
