Network Engineer - Full Time

About the Position

Services within the Anglican Church Southern QLD are strengthened by our ICT team who support over 2500 users across 75 sites and are currently looking for a full time Network Engineer to join their dedicated team based in Brisbane’s CBD.

The position offers a mixture of project work and BAU support within a complex environment, based on Cisco technologies.

 

About You

Offering extensive experience as a Network Engineer, and the ability to deliver high-quality ICT services, your background will include:

  • Demonstrated experience in design, implementation and management of ICT network projects and solutions
  • Specialist knowledge of and proficiency in LAN and WAN, wireless networks and integrated communications systems
  • Full and robust use of Cisco networking technologies, products and services
  • Proven ability to problem solve and trouble shoot ICT infrastructure support issues with routing, switching, fibre optics and phone systems
  • Understanding of data security systems and firewalls

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate, influence and problem solve
  • A focus on being part of a team while managing an individual work load and using initiative to prioritise
  • Remain calm and focused when working within strict timeframes and deadlines

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and certifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Knowledge Management discipline (or equivalent demonstrable experience)
  • CCNA or CCNP certification
  • A current Queensland Drivers Licence
  • A National Police Certificate
  • Project Management qualifications will be highly regarded
