About The Role

We require casual Early Childhood Assistants and Early Childhood Educators to be available on an as needs basis. You will bring your passion for working with children to our supportive team to provide quality education and care services. You will work with a team of dedicated educators and assistants to create a stimulating, positive and inclusive environment that reflects the Early Years Learning Framework whilst maintaining the elements of the National Quality Standards (NQS). You will be responsible for observations, programming and for the evaluation of children’s development to ultimately support their learning outcomes. You will also engage with families and the community. 

 

About The Centre

SDN Batemans Bay Preschool was established in the early 1970s and operates as a hub of the community for local children and their families. Our preschool was purpose re - built in 2005 and has modern, light-filled environment with regular excursions, and events to offer a strong and well - rounded foundation for the children.

It is a 30 place preschool for children between the ages of 3 to 6 years.

Our preschool is open during school terms only and hours of the centre are Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 4pm.

 

About You

The right candidate for this role will have the following:

  • A Certificate III or Diploma of Children’s Services 
  • A certified supervisor number
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Demonstrated ability to actively promote children's confidence and creativity through your individual skills or learnings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Initiative and the capacity to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience in a similar role
  • A Working with Children Check clearance number
