About the Opportunity
SSI is looking for a full time Software Developer Co-op to join one of our development teams in Victoria, British Columbia. A successful candidate will contribute to the development of innovative solutions for the shipbuilding industry as a member of our team. You will collaborate to solve tough problems, and have the opportunity to grow and take on new challenges.
The Position
This challenging position offers the opportunity to work in desktop application, SQL Server, and microservice oriented development on one of our teams. Your skills and interests will influence the nature of this position.
What we look for:
- Final year in a Computer Science or Engineering program
- Ability to work and collaborate with a team
- Creative problem solving skills
Great to Have:
- AutoCAD or other CAD software experience
- Experience working with Agile methodologies
- Experience with automated testing
- Experience working in the Visual Studio development environment
- Experience with C#, .NET or similar programming language (e.g. Java)
- C++ experience
- SQL Server or other relational database experience
