6 month opportunity
The Guest House is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team for a six month period starting immediately. This is a great opportunity to enjoy working in the Hunter Valley. Our restaurant, Chez Pok, is a welcoming restaurant that features both indoor and outdoor alfresco dining with an Italian influenced menu that will give you the opportunity to work as part of a fun and professional team.
In this position we encourage you to bring your passion for working with the freshest of local produce, your creativity in delivering quality dishes and commitment to contributing to the success of the team and delighting our guests.
As Sous Chef you will need to work collaboratively as part of the kitchen team; demonstrate leadership when required; communicate openly and effectively; and take pride in every aspect of what you produce to ensure the delivery of a high quality guest experience.
You will need to have qualifications in commercial cookery and relevant experience that will bring new ideas to the team, consistent quality, and ensure the delivery of all menu items for our Italian inspired cuisine.
