About Us

Spicers Retreats is excited to announce the opening of its newest property in July 2017, Spicers Potts Point. Featuring 20 rooms, an in-house bar and gorgeous courtyard area, the property is spread across three heritage-listed terrace houses in the tree-lined Victoria Street.  Spicers Potts Point is our ninth property, our third in New South Wales and places the best that Sydney has to offer at our guests’ doorstep.

Spicers Retreats is now seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced hospitality professionals looking to forge their career within the industry with a reputable and progressive group.

 

The Opportunities

We currently have several opportunities available within our Front Office team. As our Front Office Attendant, your priority will be to ensure an exceptional guest experience – each and every stay. You will provide a warm, welcoming arrival at check-in, go above and beyond to exceed your guests’ expectations during their stay and ensure a positive departure experience with maximum efficiency and minimal fuss.

 

You will work closely with the General Manager to ensure all performance goals are achieved whilst providing general administration and financial support to the business.  You will be experienced in front office administration and reservation systems and delight in sharing your local area knowledge with our in-house guests. As well as this, you will assist with Food & Beverage tasks in our in-house bar and during breakfast service. As such, candidates with F&B experience will be highly regarded.

 

About You!

To be considered for this role, you will possess:

  • Significant front office experience within a high-end or luxury hotel environment;
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively within a team comprised of different personalities and skill-sets;
  • The ability to learn new software and systems;
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills;
  • The ability to recommend and upsell additional products, services, packages and promotions;
  • … and most importantly, a genuine passion for ‘everything hospitality’ – good food, great wine and awesome experiences!

 

To be successful in this role, you will enjoy interacting with a wide range of people, have a contagious passion for hospitality and a view for continuous improvement.  We welcome an energetic, hands on person with a positive outlook and enthusiastic nature.
