About Us
Spicers Retreats is a collection of luxury, boutique properties set in unique and inspiring locations throughout South East Queensland and New South Wales. Spicers Hidden Vale is situated on a 12,000 acre working cattle station in the Scenic Rim of South East Queensland only 55 minutes from Brisbane and 30 minutes from Ipswich. About the Role
As the General Manager of Spicers Hidden Vale, you will be a hands-on host who delights in providing guests with bespoke experiences. Engaging and driving your team to ensure seamless operations will be integral to delivering an exceptional guest experience – each and every time.
Reporting to the Group Operations Manager of the Spicers Group, you will be responsible for the overall management of the property, developing and implementing business strategy, and delivering budgeted growth, revenue and profit targets. Key to this is developing a strong and committed team who are able to consistently provide a high standard of service and hospitality.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Significant hands-on experience managing a luxury property;
- Exposure to overseeing food & beverage operations and fine dining establishments;
- A passion for good food and wine and providing bespoke experiences for guests;
- Strong business acumen;
- Experience managing P&L, COGS, expenses;
- Strong team management experience – the ability to drive and manage performance;
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written;
- A proactive approach and positive attitude;
- ... and most importantly a generosity of spirit and genuine passion for all things hospitality!
Given the location of Spicers Hidden Vale, you will be required to live within a reasonable distance from Grandchester, QLD with your own reliable transport or be willing to relocate to the local area. As part of an attractive salary package, we are able to offer the successful candidate quality accommodation in the township of Rosewood, 15 minutes' drive from the property.
