ACCOUNTABILITY & OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for the demonstration of outstanding public relations skills with residents, visitors, staff and all persons visiting the residence

Responsible for processing clerical and financial support functions, maintaining adequate records as directed by the Office Manager. Responsible for effective team communication within the residence, in a confidential manner.

 

BACKGROUND / QUALIFICATIONS:

The incumbent must have proven computer literacy in Windows / Word / Excel with an adaptability to handle database programs, emergency response system.

Demonstrated ability and experience in a responsible position requiring excellent organizational and communication skills.

Experience in Public Relations/Hosting, and a preference to some experience in the hospitality industry.

A people-person with a heart for seniors and a positive, outgoing disposition. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement and promote teamwork.

A person with a positive self projection and ability to use initiative in problem solving, a team player.

Must be fluent in written and spoken English.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Actively participates in the Verve Quality Improvement (VQI) Program.

Communications and Public Relations with residents, staff and public.

Processes all telephone calls and ensures prompt responses are generated.

Responds to service requests and refers to appropriate team members for action.

Processes in-coming and outgoing mail.

Accepts and signs for deliveries if required and ensures accurate paperwork flow.

Tracks all guest meals, revenue from services, extra resident service, special events revenue.

Creates and executes the typing of notices, menus or newsletters as designated.

Maintains a daily record of resident census to support revenue and receivables.

Executes any duty that is of a clerical function.

Communicates effectively with team members re tasks or services to be expedited by housekeeping, resident services or maintenance.

Schedules relief employees.

Shares responsibility in safety standards of the residence. Committed to excellence.

Demonstrates flexibility; ability to bend to changing demands.

Complies with all Corporate policies and procedures.

Completes all required mandatory training/education.

Performs other related tasks as delegated by Office Manager or the General Manager.
