Our Australian operations is rapidly expanding and WHSmith is expected to continue this growth. We are looking for a Stock Allocator to join our merchandising and planning function. About the Role:
Reporting to the Merchandise Planning Manager, this role is accountable for managing the replenishment of products to ensure in-stock and week’s cover requirements are met and inventory investment is optimised.
Summary of the Position:
- Determine and continually review the optimum distribution method for products on replenishment
- Review, recommend and maintain replenishment parameters/settings in Torex
- Liaise with buyers and store operations on replenishment needs
- Liaise with buyers to maintain forecasts for replenishment products
- Help plan and execute promotions for replenishment products
- Assist in the creation of reporting to support buyer and store operations requirements
- Generation and distribution of weekly/regular reports
- Conduct of detailed ad hoc analysis to understand stock levels, sales performance, in-stock positions
- Develop (with manager) exception reporting in monitoring replenishment performance to ensure that corrective action is taken promptly
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience with managing replenishment processes and reporting
- Supply chain or warehouse experience will be considered a bonus
- A retail or warehouse background will be considered advantageous
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel
- Experience with Torex or similar point of sale system
- Strong Communication Skills
- Willingness and Enthusiasm
