Our Australian operations is rapidly expanding and WHSmith is expected to continue this growth. We are looking for an Entry level Stock Allocator to join our merchandising and planning function. About the Role:
Reporting to the Merchandise Planning Manager, this role is accountable for managing the replenishment of products to ensure product is in stock and planning requirements are met
Summary of the Position:
- Monitor, review and place orders for stock, to ensure our stores have what they need when they need it
- Review, recommend and maintain replenishment parameters/settings in Torex
- Liaise with buyers and store operations on replenishment needs
- Maintain forecasts for replenishment products
- Help plan and execute promotions for replenishment products
- Assist in the creation of reporting
- Generation and distribution of weekly/regular reports
- Conduct of detailed ad hoc analysis to understand stock levels, sales performance, in-stock positions
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience with or understanding of supply chain, replenishment processes and reporting
- A retail or warehouse background will be considered advantageous
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel
- Experience with Torex or similar point of sale system
- Strong Communication Skills
- Willingness and Enthusiasm
