ZCL is currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst to be based in Edmonton, Alberta. If you are a motivated engineering professional that wants to be an integral part of a committed team, then ZCL is the place for you! 

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Director IT, the Business Systems Analyst will work closely with team members, departmental representatives, end users, and external consultants to provide ongoing support and system maintenance for ZCL’s ERP solution. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing, formatting, and testing reports using the system tools provided
  • Assisting with the configuration and testing of business processes, system security, workflow, and user roles before and after system go-live
  • Collaborating in the planning, design, development, and deployment of the solution
  • Participating in meetings with decision-makers, system owners, and end-users to define and document business, financial, and operational requirements for integration into the ERP system
  • Database maintenance activities including running Structured Query Language (SQL) jobs, table maintenance, and writing and running SQL scripts
  • Form creation and maintenance within the ERP system
  • Providing system implementation, go live and day to day support for various Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system modules

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business or equivalent

Business Systems Expertise

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in related work experience; or equivalent combination or education and experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 or 2012, including system setup, configuring report, customizing common forms, and knowledge of the Application Object Table (AOT)
  • Minimum 2 years of IT support experience
  • Strong experience in designing and building Database (SQL) reports
  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • General knowledge of .NET, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, Windows Server, system architectures, relational database theory, etc.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or plant operations environment is an asset

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • A basic understanding of business processes including purchase orders, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong client service focus, ability to relate with co-workers and effectively support their requirements
  • Self-starter with the ability to work and troubleshoot independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships
