About the Opportunity

Hyden Engineering is entering an exciting growth phase and is now looking for a motivated Field Service Planner or Field Service Manager to join their team on a full-time basis. The role is based in Rutherford, NSW, with some occasional travel to client sites.

As the Field Service Planner, you will report to the Field Services Manager and will be responsible for coordinating, scheduling and planning all facets of field service for internal and external stakeholders

Some of your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Ensure all Field Service jobs are quoted within KPI's and logistical capacity;
  • Ensure all team members receiving the Field Service Plan are provided with adequate information to successfully complete all tasks to expectations;
  • Coordinate planning to ensure all jobs are completed to the schedule and within quoted hours, with three-way communication of changes between customers and field foremen;
  • Maintain meticulous records, ensuring site sheets and returned job packs are completed and filed appropriately; and
  • Ensure that all Field Services Department customers experience support that exceeds their expectations.

About You

To be considered for this position you must possess suitable qualifications in Project Management and demonstrated experience in delivering projects within a similar role. Any trade qualifications in mechanical fitting or similar would be highly desired, however, this is not mandatory, as long as you have a strong mechanical aptitude to sufficiently understand the requirements of each client's needs. 

This is a leadership role that will see you coordinating a team of four field technicians. Hyden Engineering is looking for candidates with demonstrated experience supervising or leading a team running maintenance projects, or someone with leadership capabilities looking to take the next step up in their career.

Importantly, Field Service is a demanding department, and as such Hyden Engineering is looking for an empathetic leader with strong written and verbal communication skills to productively manage customer expectations within the logistics of the operation. Once you have proven your performance in this role, there is an opportunity to advance into a management position within Field Services.

In addition, the successful candidate will have exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to learn systems and processes quickly and confidently. You will also have reasonably high-level computer skills across Word, Excel and Project Planning software, and the ability to effectively present information to team members and clients alike.

Please note: While this role is mostly conducted in the office within typical hours, you must have the flexibility to attend client sites and the willingness to handle any problems occurring out-of-hours. A current Driver's License is also a requirement for this position.
