The Opportunity
Our client - an established software business - is seeking an experienced Software Engineer / .NET Developer to join their team in Melbourne. This position is being offered on a full-time, 12 month contract basis with the possibility of transitioning to permanent employment.
Day to day you'll be working within a small to medium team focused on developing, maintaining and delivering complex new products and enhancements to existing products. You'll maintain high code standards and provide solid analysis and design capabilities.
Successful Software Engineers within the team are able to tick the following boxes:
- Significant hands on .NET application development experience
- HTML 5 experience
- ASP.NET MVC development experience
- Web application development experience
- Business layer programming experience
- C# experience
- VB.NET experience
- SQL Server 2012/2014/2016 programming skills
- .NET WinForms development experience
- Experience in code unit test frameworks
In addition, our client is looking for someone with excellent communication skills, along with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively across teams.
Although not essential, any experience within the gas / electricity sector will be highly regarded.
