About the Opportunity

New Britain Palm Oil Limited (NBPOL) has an exciting opportunity for a Stores, Purchasing and Logistics Manager to join the team based in Gusap Downs, Papua New Guinea.

Working within the Ramu Agri Industries Ltd Stores and Purchasing and Logistics Operations Department, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all stores, purchasing and logistics activities are carried out in the most efficient and effective manner and that these activities fall within the company's operating procedures and meet customer expectations.

Reporting to the Head of Sugar, key responsibilities will include monitoring stocks, ensuring inventory is up to date and is ordered in a timely manner to ensure the warehouse remains operational at all times.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in procurement and purchasing in addition to demonstrated experience in a leadership or management position. Although not essential, tertiary qualifications would be advantageous.

You will be a team player with the ability to effectively influence and promote change throughout your team while utilising your strong communication skills across a variety of stakeholders, clients and direct reports.

Any experience in the food, palm oil or sugar-cane industry, especially overseas will be highly regarded.

Strong computer literacy and solid knowledge of PRONTO or similar software applications is also essential.

About the Organisation

New Britain Palm Oil Limited (NBPOL) is a large scale integrated, industrial producer of sustainable palm oil in Australasia. We have over 83,000 hectares of planted oil palm plantations, a further 10,000 hectares under preparation for oil palm, over 5,600 hectares of sugar cane and a further 9,000 hectares of grazing pasture and twelve oil mills. We also own two state-of-the-art refineries, one in Liverpool in the UK and one in PNG, a joint venture research facility in Indonesia, and the world-renowned Dami research.
