Your New Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join our team in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

As the leader on sourcing and procurement initiatives for the organization, you will be appraising and improving all sourcing activities by analyzing the company's spending, developing partnerships with key suppliers, acquiring new suppliers, and developing innovative supply alternatives. 

More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

• Performing spend analysis and risk assessments for the main procurement categories. 
• Performing scenario analysis and benchmarking.
• Working with the Director of Operations to develop sourcing strategies for all the main procurement categories.
• Leading the implementation of category strategies by sourcing new suppliers, managing RFQ and RFP processes, and participating in negotiations with key suppliers in each category.
• Analyzing and calculating the costs of procurement and developing methods to optimize the spend.
• Researching and anticipating shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers.
• Cooperating with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes. 
• Managing the company's PPV KPI and ensuring transparency of spending.
• Working with the commercialization and production teams to determine the quantity and timing of delivery issues with existing suppliers.
• Leading the development of a supplier scorecard process. 

The Ideal Candidate

In order to qualify for this role, you will have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a buyer or procurement analyst preferably in the food manufacturing industry along with advanced excel skills and experience using Google G Suite and MS Office. Bilingualism in English and French is an asset but is not required. 

You will also possess:

• The ability to work within an ERP platform (NAV, MSRP)
• Experience with sourcing and vendor management processes.
• Strong project management skills.

You will be well suited for this role if you are a self-motivated professional with strong communication, teambuilding, and stakeholder management skills. You will also be able to effectively plan and manage multiple competing priorities.

The ability to research information and analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and actions is essential. Above all, you must be willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done while contributing to the development of systems and processes.
