The Centre provides legal and related services for the benefit of its clients across a range of service programs and areas of law including family law, domestic and family violence, discrimination, mental health legal matters, credit and debt matters.

In particular the Centre operates a Seniors Legal and Support Service. This Service provides legal and social work services to seniors experiencing or at risk of experiencing abuse and/or exploitation, often at the hands of family members or others that they know, trust and depend on for care and support. This includes guardianship and administration matters, ‘granny flat’ matters, physical abuse, neglect, intimidation, harassment and financial abuse. Support for clients is provided though a multidisciplinary practice consisting of practitioners committed to working together to provide legal and social work services needed to provide a holistic approach to assisting clients.

In addition, the Centre will also be operating a Seniors Financial Protection Service.  This service is specifically to support and enable seniors (particularly those experiencing or at risk of experiencing financial abuse) to make informed decisions, look after their personal finances, protect their financial futures and reduce the risk of being financially abused. This will include connecting those clients to specialist financial counselling and/or advice services.
