About the Opportunity
Polyslit are bringing their world class services to Australian shores and as such are looking for a motivated Slitter Operator to kick start operations in Wollongong.
Reporting to the owner, the main aim of this newly created role is to man the factory whilst meeting client needs.
Some your specific responsibilities will include:
- Operating machinery;
- Cutting plastics to size;
- Liaising with clients; and
- Some forklift operation.
To be successful in this role, you will have completed a Year 12 level of education. Applicants with licences such as Forklift will be viewed favourably, but these are not essential as Polyslit will arrange this for the successful applicant.
Polyslit is looking for a highly responsible and trustworthy individual with an excellent work ethic, plus the ability to work unsupervised.
It is essential that you are able to multi-skill, possess initiative and take ownership. As you will be interacting and assisting clients on a daily basis your sound customer service and interpersonal skills will be vital.
You will be able to demonstrate common sense and efficiency in your work habits. Some prior factory experience would be ideal, though this is not essential.
Successful applicants must undergo a full criminal history background check.
