About the Opportunities

Growing Early Minds now has exciting opportunities for Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists to join their professional team based in Blacktown, NSW. These are full-time positions with days/times worked flexible to suit your requirements. 

Reporting to the Practice Lead these are busy but rewarding roles offering loads of variety in your client base and the way you practice. Working predominantly with young children up to 16 years of age, your duties will include assessments, therapy services, consultancy and practical support for Early Childhood Educators and teachers. You will also liaise with parents/care givers offering training and skills development services relevant to the type of care required.

About You

To be considered for these positions you will hold tertiary qualifications in your relevant discipline and current registration with either Speech Pathology Australia or Occupational Therapy Australia. You will also hold, or be eligible for registration with Medicare. 

Candidates interested in the Speech Pathologist position will need to have demonstrated experience in paediatrics, delivering speech therapy and assessments to children. 

Candidates interested in the Occupational Therapist position will ideally have previous experience in a similar role, however Growing Early Minds will be open to speaking with candidates who have not previously worked with children, who are interested in moving into this field of work. 

Critical to your success in either position will be strong time-management skills and the ability to manage your own workflow without supervision, including the scheduling/rescheduling of appointments and maintaining regular communication with your client base. 

Please note: Before commencement, the successful candidates must hold a current First Aid Certification, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Training and a Current Working With Children Check. You will also need to have a current open Driver's License and your own vehicle with comprehensive insurance cover. Successful candidates will need to complete the NDIS Worker Orientation module 'Quality, Safety, and You, prior to commencement.
