About the Opportunity

Knauf Australia now has a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Officer to join their team in Matraville, Sydney, NSW. This role is being offered on a part-time basis, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility around start and finish times. The expectation is that you will work approximately 20 hours a week, typically from 9:00am - 1:00pm Monday to Friday.  Additional hours at peak / high volume times of month may be required ie mid month and end of month.

Reporting to the National Credit Manager, this is a busy role that will see you accountable for transaction processing, collections and new account set-up across the Debtors ledger.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Processing daily customer receipts and allocations to accounts;
  • Efficient Customer Account reconciliation, banking and daily allocation of customer receipts;
  • Carrying out collection processes to meet targets and improve DSOs;
  • Reporting on short payment and credit claims, working with the Claims team on quick and speedy resolution within the billing month; and
  • Reviewing unallocated receipts and reporting weekly to ensure all Debtor and Sundry receipts have been allocated accurately.

About You

To be considered for this position you will have experience as an Accounts Receivable Officer or similar, ideally with a focus on collections and managing debtors ledgers. 

You will have experience using a large receivables system (ie SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards or similar) and any experience using credit reporting databases (i.e. Equifax or Dun & Bradstreet), in order to create new accounts, identify potential risks etc, will be highly regarded.

Importantly, Knauf is looking for candidates who demonstrate a 'can-do' attitude and a desire to grow their career in this business area. You'll be a confident communicator, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships, negotiate payment plans and dispute resolutions if/as required.
