About the Opportunity
Due to continued growth, Abraham Occupational Therapy Services (AOTS) has multiple opportunities for Occupational Therapists to join their dedicated team on either a part-time or full-time basis. These roles will be based in and around Melbourne.
Working in the community, you will be responsible for providing home-based occupational therapy assessment and intervention services to people who have sustained an ongoing injury.
Other responsibilities will include; but not be limited to:
- Managing your own community caseload including home safety assessments, specialised seating and equipment, carer training, ADL training, home modifications and carer support;
- Managing a range of clients affected by various conditions such as ABI, stroke, spinal cord injuries, and orthopaedic injuries;
- Working with funding bodies such as NDIS, TAS, STR, DVA and DHHS as well as managing stakeholders; and
- Goal setting with clients and implementing treatment strategies to work towards those goals.
Those with upper limb experience also have the opportunity to work within the clinic in Moorabbin, VIC
About You
To be considered for this position you will hold tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy and have current AHPRA registration. You will also have extensive relevant, hands-on experience in the industry.
With highly developed interpersonal skills, you will be organised and comfortable working autonomously. Strong written communication skills will also be crucial to your success in this organisation.
Problem solving, and organisational skills are a must for this role as well as compassion towards those around you; especially clients.
Please note: As you will be travelling to client's homes, you will need a current Victorian drivers licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
