While Laverty’s core laboratory is located in North Ryde, we have around 20 laboratories across NSW and the ACT – many based in hospitals – to ensure we can get results back to doctors as soon as possible. We also have more than 600 collection centres for patients to visit at their convenience. In addition to this, we provide a number of Workplace Health & Safety testing for commercial clients.
About the Opportunity
Laverty Pathology now has an opportunity available for an Anatomical Pathologist to join their team in the Port Macquarie Laboratory. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility to extend or relocate, working alongside a team of three Haematologists and one Anatomical Pathologist.
You will be joining and be supported by an existing team of nationally recognised Pathologists and work collaboratively within a larger team of dedicated scientific professionals.
Reporting to the Head of Department, you will provide consultant histopathology services, which will facilitate the provision of appropriate high-quality pathology services to the Port Macquarie Base Hospital and surrounding community served by Laverty Pathology.
About You
To be considered for this position, you must be a medical practitioner, holding a specialist Anatomical Pathology qualification (FRCPA or equivalent), and be eligible for specialist medical registration with AHPRA.
New graduates are welcome to apply.
As a large volume business, the ability to work a variety of cases at any given time will be critical to your success in this role. With a dual focus on patient care and business growth/referrals, you will be flexible in your approach and comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
