About the Opportunity

Currently, NRI is looking for multiple passionate General Managers to help maintain our continued growth and success while overseeing the day to day operations of our facilities in Fontana CA.

As one of our new General Managers, you will work to drive improvement within our facilities across multiple KPIs. As a member of the leadership team, you will also have a voice in the overall direction of the Operations team and be a key stakeholder in change initiatives within the facilities that you are accountable for. 

More specifically your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the positive overall performance of assigned facilities as defined by key performance indicators. 
  • Maintaining a perspective on the operational goals of the business and prioritizing workloads accordingly. 
  • Making required staffing, process, and facility changes or alterations in order to increase organizational efficiencies and meet client goals as well as NRI's service level agreements. 
  • Creating and maintaining meaningful relationships with clients and NRI team members.
  • Determining the feasibility of projects by factoring costs, available space, schedule limitations, organization goals, technical requirements, and economic factors.
  • Ensuring resource commitments for projects are in place and acting as the sponsor to ensure the proper level of support is in place for the tactical execution of projects. 
  • Providing guidance, training, mentoring, development, and support to your direct reports which will be the DC Managers of assigned facilities.
  • Participating in the performance review process and approving any wage increases.
  • Planning, coordinating, and authorizing all annual vacations for direct reports by ensuring proper coverage. 
  • Driving continual improvement programs alongside the leadership team. 
  • Ensuring that all projects include a sustainability component and drive adherence at multiple levels within the organization by utilizing integrated process audits, floor-level dashboards, and management scorecards. 
  • Analyzing contractual commitments, client specifications, design changes, and other data in order to drive continuous improvement and meet or exceed the expectations of our clients. 
  • Performing cost/benefit tradeoff analysis and developing ROI business cases for recommended projects involving process, system, or technology change. 

In order to qualify for this role, you must have 10 years of relevant work experience along with a Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field. Excellent technical capabilities that are inclusive of tier-one WMS experience are also required as is 3PL experience.
