As a SRE Engineer specialising in core infrastructure, you'll help automate, manage and support world class SaaS services, ensuring that our software runs faster than our customers wildest expectations. With a talent for problem solving and finding the root of technical problems, you’ll make a difference in this role by delivering successful fixes to complex problems.
What you'll be doing...
- Work on one of highest-traffic SaaS ERP services running at a global scale, serving ~200 million requests per day and increasing
- Working experience with observability tools such as logging (ELK Stack) and Monitoring (Grafana, Pagerduty)
- Improve uptime, capacity, and performance of production systems
- Supporting, tracking, and resolving assigned technical issues around our SaaS/Cloud services to ensure 99.9% availability to users globally
- Applying your extensive triage and analysis skills to problem solve and maintain current set SLI's and SLO's
- Solid knowledge of languages such as PowerShell or Python
- Growth and manage the capacity.
- Observability of relevant database metrics and make sure we reach our database objectives
- Develop and maintain automation tools working within the infrastructure as code methodology
- Collaboratively working across multiple development teams to support the needs of the customer and resolve production issues.
- Providing clear and regular communication to stakeholders
- Continually drive automation and simplification to lower operational costs and increase efficiency
- Continuous service improvements by monitoring and optimising production systems
- Rostered on-call escalation – 7 days every 4 weeks
Your talents…
- Solid technical experience relating to Microsoft Server, SQL, IIS, and AWS technologies
- Knowledge of at least one of the following scripting languages: PowerShell, Python, Bash
- Have experience running MSSQL in large production environments.
- Have good knowledge of SQL
- Have good knowledge of the internals of MSSQL, Postgres, and open systems
- Knowledge of security requirements, concepts, and maintain compliance by design principals
- Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to effectively and maturely communicate and negotiate in writing and verbally with stakeholders across all levels
- Demonstrable expertise in presenting to and across a diverse stakeholder audience
- Experience of successfully and effectively working in a team support role
Desirable
- Relevant vendor/industry certifications (AWS SysOps Administrator Associate or AWS DevOps Professional highly desirable)
