About ABLE Therapy
Established over 10 years ago, ABLE Therapy comprises of two departments 1) Clinic based SLP and OT for children 0-15, (some adult SLP available if interested) and 2) ABLE Home Therapy which provides OT only for 15-Adult in the community. They are a passionate provider of clinic-based children's services and generalist mobile services, offering occupational therapy and speech pathology in the local North Lakes area.
ABLE Kids Speech partners for Paediatric SLP and OT with a number of local schools and childcare centres, providing services such as prep screening and teacher training. In clinic may be general language and articulation therapy or in their feeding clinic in which OT and SLP work together for advanced outcomes. ABLE Home Therapy through their home visiting Community OTs provide skill development therapy for their clients with a variety of disabilities, support on the care and manual handling needs of clients and carers for NDIS participants, AT selection, assessment / applications, some Veterans (through the Department of Veterans' Affairs), disability services, and other care agencies.
About the Opportunity
Due to ongoing growth, ABLE Therapy is looking for multiple Speech Pathologists to join their team based in North Lakes, Brisbane. Your choice of full-time, part-time, or flexible hours are available, depending on your needs.
With a highly varied caseload, you'll have the option to treat clients of all ages, or to specialise in a paediatric caseload, if interested. You will be working predominantly from the North Lakes clinic, in addition to school/kindergarten visits and some remote telehealth consultations.
With the strong support of the administration team and therapy assistants, you'll be free to focus on the most important part of your role - supporting your clients. There's no risk of becoming bored, with a huge variety of work, and you'll be not only supported but encouraged to pursue any areas of interest or specialisations that appeal to you.
Speech Pathologists of all experience levels are strongly encouraged to apply.
About You
To be successful, you will need to be a fully qualified Speech Pathologist, and hold or be willing and able to obtain membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
ideally with experience in a private practice environment, although this is not essential. ABLE is open to newly qualified therapists, who would be well-supported with a formal training and development program, regular in-house mentoring, and ongoing support from their highly experienced senior therapists.
You’ll be approachable, welcoming, and friendly, with the ability to connect with clients of all ages. Able to look at a complex problem and break it down into achievable 'chunks', you'll be confident helping your clients prioritise and meet their goals, providing expert guidance and advice to both clients and partnering agencies.
Importantly, you’ll have a sense of fun, with a passion for the services you provide and a commitment to ensuring each client receives the support and care they need to meet their therapy goals.

Relocation assistance is negotiable, and, due to the current situation with COVID-19, ABLE is open to reimbursing the cost of any necessary self-isolation if coming from inter-state.
