About the Opportunity

EREA Flexi Schools now has an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a full-time STEM Teacher (years 7 - 12) to join the team at the Northern Flexi School in Elizabeth, SA.

Reporting to the Head of Campus and the Network Principal, this role will see you implementing learning programs that cater to the needs of secondary-aged students who have disengaged from mainstream education, encouraging young people to achieve educational and wellbeing outcomes, and make a positive contribution to their community.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the learning and social inclusion responses of the campus, including:

  • Planning, preparing and delivering engaging learning and teaching programs for young people in both the middle and senior phases of secondary education;
  • Integrating project-based learning and SACE programs with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics;
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of school plans and objectives; and
  • Contributing to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment.

About You

To be considered for this position you must hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Teaching and be eligible for registration with the South Australian Teacher Registration Board. A minimum of 3-5 years experience in senior secondary STEM education is essential.

Any specialist knowledge or skills in SACE Flexibilities and teaching young people with special needs would be looked upon favourably.

Please note: This role requires regular travel around Elizabeth, including transporting students, and as such, a Current Unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence is essential, with Light Rigid highly regarded.
