About the Opportunity

 The Southport Golf Club currently has an opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join their team on the sunny & beautiful Gold Coast! This role will be Full-Time, reporting to the General Manager, with negotiable flexible working options for the right candidate. These options include the potential to work Tuesday - Saturday instead of Monday - Friday or even 1 day per week from home!

Your main responsibilities will include general administration duties and assisting senior staff. 

More specifically, some of your day to day duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Constructing communications to be sent out to members including letters and website content;
  • Compiling reports regarding membership data;
  • Handling membership queries;
  • Assisting with bookkeeping activities such as invoicing & payroll; and
  • Filling in & assisting other team members when needed. 

About you

Most importantly, this role requires an individual who possesses excellent written communication skills & proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word & Excel.

The majority of the duties that you will be performing involve the use of such skills and programs, without this knowledge it will be difficult for you to succeed in the role. 

Other skills & attributes that would be advantageous to your success in the role are any experience working within a community club environment, a basic marketing knowledge, interpersonal skills or experience or a qualification in Business Administration. It is also important that you are a team player who has the ability to work well and get along with others.
