About the Opportunity

Harrop now has an opportunity for a Warehousing Coordinator to join their team in Melbourne, Victoria. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be involved with all of the day-to-day aspects of Harrop's warehouse, including goods inwards/outwards, stocktake, accurate inventory, and security.

Core duties:

  • Participate in all regular stocktakes to control loss and leakage of stock;
  • Re-organise storage of items as necessary to assist with effective asset control;
  • Operate a forklift to pick and pack products;
  • Coordinate, facilitate and support the activities of the parts department warehouse areas;
  • Ensure all stock is accounted for and correctly reported in the company computer system;
  • Ensure all parts are warehoused and stored in a safe, methodical and professional way; and
  • Pack and ship products to customers.

What you need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have a sound knowledge of procedures and operational methods within a stores environment. You will need a current forklift licence, as well as experience working in a warehousing environment. Specific experience working in engineering, manufacturing or a related field will be advantageous, and help you hit the ground running in your new role. 

In addition, you will have:

  • Established Storeperson experience 
  • Proven ability to build relationships with customers, fellow work colleagues and management.
  • Strong Computer skills including knowledge of inventory management systems
  • Excellent customer service skills, organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent warehousing skills alongside an understanding of automotive mechanics.

A passion for the automotive industry, while not essential, will be a significant advantage in this role. Harrop takes great pride in the work they do and are constantly striving for excellence in every area of their business.
