About the Opportunity

WoodWool Australia now has an exciting opportunity for a Machine Operator to join their team in the Lonsdale factory.

This is a full-time position working a 38 hour week operating, maintaining, monitoring, setting up and trouble shooting all equipment and machinery within the factory.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Competently, safely and effectively operating all machinery within the factory, including woodwool machine, panel saw, chain saw, balers, pallet wrapper and other incidental tools and equipment;
  • Setting up machinery and performing pre-operational checks and activities;
  • Monitoring machinery at all times, identifying and minimizing risks, and taking timely and corrective actions where necessary;
  • Maintaining all equipment and machinery in accordance with maintenance specifications, instructions and schedules; and
  • Meeting all required production specifications and outputs within required time frames.

About You

To be considered, you will hold Forklift License and have a current First Aid Certificate, as well as some experience operating machines in a manufacturing setting.

A Chainsaw License is a requirement, however WoodWool Australia can assist in the successful candidate attaining the certificate. Additional relevant trade certificates or diploma is desirable, however not required.

Importantly,WoodWool Australia is looking for someone with great communications skills and a level of pride in the work they deliver. You will be comfortable working within a small team with a proactive, solution-driven approach.

Please note: Due to the nature of these roles, physical stamina and strength are a requirement.
