  • On-target earnings of $70,000-$90,000 in your first year, $100K+ in second year and beyond. Base salary $60,000 inc super. Uncapped commissions, with commission paid at the point of your very first sale.
  • A dedicated Lead Gen team will support you in the sales process

Your role at Scout Talent

To achieve our exciting growth plans for the year ahead we’re recruiting a number of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs). Working from the Brisbane global head office or our beautiful Melbourne office, our SDRs research prospective customers, create outreach strategies, and identify sales opportunities. 

As an SDR, you’ll phone to conduct exploratory conversations with potential clients, use your business acumen to identify how Scout Talent could help an organisation achieve its talent acquisition goals, and successfully position the Scout Talent value proposition.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Conduct high volume prospecting (60-100 activities per day) to qualify leads through calls, emails, and LinkedIn. Emphasis on the ‘calls’ - at STG we don’t hide behind emails/LinkedIn messages. We relish and actively seek out the opportunity to have a phone or Zoom conversation.
  • Schedule discovery meetings to further assess a prospect’s talent acquisition goals and to explore the potential for partnership with Scout Talent
  • Help mid-market organisations realise the potential of strategic talent acquisition
  • Set yourself up for a successful career by learning the necessary fundamentals to be a great salesperson, leader, and executive
  • Get a mini-MBA! You'll learn how a variety of organisations operate, what challenges they face on a daily basis, and how effective talent acquisition can dramatically improve their growth potential

What we're looking for 

  • Previous successful sales experience OR a strong desire to begin a sales career
  • A track record of high achievement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals
  • Curiosity and passion
  • The technical aptitude to master our sales tools
  • The ability to deal with rejection and thrive on objections
