About the Opportunities

St Carthage's Community Care is seeking Community Care Workers to join their teams in Lismore, Tweed & Casino areas. These roles are being offered in a Casual capacity, with the potential to move to permanent part-time! 12-38 Hours per week are on offer (based on ability and region) 7am Monday - 7pm Friday. Our hours are quite flexible, meaning we are willing to work collaboratively with successful candidates based on hours.

As a Community Care Worker, your primary responsibility will be to offer specialised support to people in aged care or disability services, including providing clients with flexible opportunities to enhance their independence and facilitating community participation

About You

St Carthage's is seeking self-motivated candidates with a Certificate III in Aged Care or Disability Services or other relevant qualification coupled with a passion for empowering others to achieve their goals

Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills will be critical, as will the ability work both individually and as part of a collaborative team.

Your understanding of Work Health and Safety, manual handling requirements and food handling procedures is important. You will have the ability to work autonomously and effectively with clients and the families of clients with complex needs. 

As you will be travelling between clients' homes and places in the broader community, it is essential that you have a current Driver's License and reliable motor vehicle that is comprehensively insured. A current First Aid Certificate is also required.

It is also important to note that this role is subject to a Criminal Record Check and a Working with Children check prior to employment (Working with Children Check only applies if working in disability). 

Please Note: Due to the location of clients, it would be ideal for successful candidates to be located in the regions including and between, Tweed Heads down to Ballina, Lismore, Casino or surrounding areas.
