About the Opportunity

Bundaberg Brewed Drinks now has several fantastic full-time opportunities for Brewery Technicians to join the team at Bundaberg, QLD. These will be contracted roles until October, 2023. 

The primary focus of this role is to effectively operate various types of equipment in order to meet Production, Warehouse and Brewhouse targets with a focus on safety, quality and efficiency.

Opportunities are currently available across multiple departments:

  • Production;
  • Warehouse; and
  • Brewhouse.

Core duties:

  • Obtain all Raw Materials as required;
  • Complete all quality tests checking records are accurate, legible, and completed;
  • Report all defects to Brewery Technician Leading Hand (safety, quality and equipment;
  • Make improvement suggestions and 100% attendance at team and problem-solving meetings;
  • Maintain and clean equipment and maintain good personal hygiene at all times; and
  • Understand and maintain knowledge of products and department targets for all machines and equipment you are competent in operating.

You will work across 12-hour rotating shifts, and work 2 weekends per month with penalty rates. The hours of work are 6 am to 6 pm and/or 6pm to 6am.

About You

The successful candidate will have great technical aptitude, and a desire to learn new skills and grow your career. You will also need to be physically fit.

A forklift license will help you succeed in the role. Experience operating a Linde forklift is highly desirable.

Other certifications that would be beneficial to the role, though not essential, are:

  • Cert III in food and processing
  • HACCP certification 
  • Chemical handling certification

Previous experience using scanners will also help you succeed in the role. 

Good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. You will be a quick learner who is excited to take on new opportunities to grow your skill set and challenge yourself. You will also be reliable and a great team player. 

Please note: you must be willing to complete a police check, pre-employment medical and drug testing prior to commencing.
