About the Opportunity

PBS Building now has an opportunity for a full-time Contract Administrator to join their team in the Gold Coast, QLD.

Reporting to the Director and/or the Project Manager, you will manage the procurement and administration of project works in accordance with our well-established processes.

Core duties:

  • Administer multiple projects so they remain on schedule and on budget

  • Prepare subcontractor tender packages, scope of works, contract documentation, and procurement schedules

  • Report costing, manage cash flow, negotiate payment terms with suppliers, and control overall project expenditure

  • Complete head contract and subcontract administration including variations, EOT submissions, and progress claims

  • Use Procore to keep track of all your ongoing projects

  • Maintain relationships amongst our clients and subcontractors

You will manage projects up to $20 million based in the Gold Coast and surrounds. Because of this, you will have the opportunity for periodic local travel to visit active sites. 

About You

To be successful in this position, you will have extensive Tier 2 or Tier 3 experience as a Contract Administrator, leading and managing your own projects.

A solid understanding of the South-East Queensland market is essential and strong relationships with subcontractors in the educational and health sector would be highly valued. 

A tertiary qualification in Construction Management or related discipline will help you succeed in this role, but is not a requirement. 

Excellent contract knowledge and sound financial management skills will set you apart from other candidates. Administering multiple contracts efficiently is a large portion of this role so it is important that you demonstrate these skills.

Your ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors is a must, as are strong scoping skills and technical knowledge.

Please note: You will need to have an unrestricted drivers licence and hold a General Safety Induction card.
