About the Organisation
Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation (Anyinginyi) is a growing multi-disciplinary organisation that provides primary health care services to the Aboriginal people of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly region.
Anyinginyi consists of five different sections covering a wide array of services such as clinical care and social and emotional well being, health promotions, sports and active lifestyle and administrative services. About the Opportunity
Anyinginyi now has an exciting opportunity for a Chief Executive Officer to join their team in Tennant Creek, NT on a full-time basis.
Under the direction of the Board of Directors, you will lead and manage Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation with integrity and with the resources provided, to deliver the best possible health outcomes for the Aboriginal communities of the Barkly Region and surrounding communities.
You will manage all functions of Anyinginyi Health, including strategic direction and vision, resource management, and program quality assurance.
Core duties:
- Board Relations:
- Provide Board members with relevant information, high-level advice and training
- Facilitate appropriate and effective interface between the Board and corporation
- Ensure any significant decisions that relate to the organisation, governance or relationship with stakeholders are understood and authorised by the Board of Directors

Strategic Direction and Vision:
- Identify priority health needs within the community;
- Define strategies, targets and outcome measures in support of strategic plans and program funding
- Develop long term plans for organisation development and growth

Resource Management:
- Ensure the most effective use of all resources to meet the changing needs of the community and staff
- Actively seek funding sources to maintain and increase the organisation’s resource base
- Program Evaluation and Quality Assurance:
- Oversee ongoing organisational and clinical accreditation and quality systems
- Ensure achievement of operational management targets, evaluate outcomes against standards and implement improvements.

About You
To be considered for this position, you will have demonstrated Executive leadership experience to successfully manage a diverse workforce and drive high-level results across all areas of the organisation.
A formal qualification in Management, Business or a related field will greatly help you succeed in this role.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of First Nations people, as well as experience working with Aboriginal people either directly or in an organisation. The ability to show empathy and understanding when working with stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds will be vital to your success.
A true team player, you will be invested in the professional development of their staff and frequently shares knowledge and skills with other team members for the benefit of the organisation.
Please note: An Australian Drivers License, willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance and currently hold or be willing to obtain a current Ochre Card (Working with Children) is required.
