We are Edmund Rice Flexi School, with campuses in Elizabeth and Davoren Park, and part of the EREA Oscar Romero Flexi Schools Network. We provide young people with diverse learning experiences to guide them towards maturity, employment, further education and an increased sense of social connectedness. About the Opportunity
This is an exciting new opportunity for a passionate experienced Teacher to join a team of dedicated educators and support staff. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and supporting VET and Transition Pathways for young people requiring a more flexible and innovative approach to SACE and/or further education and employment opportunities.
This newly developed role will be pivotal in helping to create learning and vocational opportunities for those young people that have historically experienced disconnection from education, employment and community life.
Your day-to-day duties will include (but will not be limited to),
- Coordinating effective learning and training programs for young people with a focus on the senior phases of secondary education;
- Developing and supporting VET and Employment Pathways within the SACE Program;
- Sourcing work experience and volunteering opportunities from local industry and community, including preparing young people to engage with these opportunities; and
- Contributing to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment

What you will bring
- Highly qualified Teacher with full teacher registration and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Experience, skills and knowledge in developing and providing SACE programs, VET options and transition pathways for students.
- Strong motivation and initiative.
- Experience in engaging with community and government partners, supporting VET programs and transition pathways.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
