About the Opportunity
East Coast Surveys now has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Engineering Surveyor to join their team in Capalaba, 20 minutes from Brisbane CBD.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will primarily be responsible for surveying a range of civil construction and engineering projects.
Core duties:
- Undertake Quality Assurance of engineering plans and data;
- Work both autonomously and in teams;
- Responding to client needs promptly; and
- Liaise with clients, contractors, developers, and other authorities throughout the project surveying process.
This position will include office and field duties associated with a mix of surveys, including Contour and Detail Surveys, Construction Set-out Surveys, and other major and minor engineering projects.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have completed a bachelor’s degree in surveying or equivalent. You will also need to be eligible or a registered associate, graduate, or surveyor with the Surveyors Board of Queensland.
You will also need to be a problem-solver who has strong interpersonal skills and can work well in a team and under pressure. This role will also require strong verbal and written communication skills.
Our ideal candidate will focus on continuous improvement and be able to offer alternate solutions and concepts.
Whilst not a requirement, experience and proficiency in various programs, including Trimble Total Stations & GPS, AutoCAD, Magnet software, and Trimble Business Centre, are preferable.
Please note: You will be working across various sites; you will need a valid C Class Australian Driver’s Licence.
