About the Opportunity
Due to the growth of the business, Core Asset Co is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join their dynamic team on a 3 month contract basis. You will spend 3 days a week at a mining site in Emerald, Central QLD, liaising with maintenance stakeholders and developing a deep understanding of the work. You will then work 2 days a week in our Brisbane head office or in your home office. This role is FIFO, and as such, weekly travel expenses will be covered.
Working closely alongside the Maintenance Superintendent, the primary responsibility of this role is to revise, and create, and develop site maintenance and risk assessment documents.
About You
Core Asset Co is seeking an applicant with a comprehensive background in Safety, Maintenance, or Mining. You will need a Standard 11 – coal mining site access qualification, as well as G2, G3, G7 qualifications. This role would suit someone with a background in Safety and/or Maintenance in Mining.
Importantly, you will have extremely strong written and oral communication skills, energy and enthusiasm for creating and improving safety documents. For this role will need to be self motivated and adaptable, with high initiative and excellent organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills, along with the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment. Our ideal candidate will have a very high standard of written English, including excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to take advantage of a varied and flexible work week. Your time on-site will be highly structured, but your two off-site days can be performed flexibly.
