About the Opportunity

Limba has an opportunity for a Credit Analyst to join their friendly team in Eight Mile Plains. This role is being offered on either a full-time or part-time job share basis.

Reporting to the both the General Manager and the National Business Development Manager, you will make sound credit decisions and recommendations on complex borrowing requests and loan variations. You will understand and apply our credit policy within your delegated authority in a way that balances risk and growth.

Working closely with the Business Development Managers and Brokers to understand client needs and formulate client strategy, you will also proactively recommend ideas and solutions to assist in managing client relationships.

Core duties: 

  • Have a full understanding of credit policy and be able to relay this knowledge to External and Internal Consultants.
  • Analyse, prepare, submit and present credit proposals including financial assessment that fall within particular guidelines.
  • Review / analyse customer borrowing structures and customer financials to evaluate lending proposals.
  • Identify positive and negative features of proposals and engage collaboratively in discussions with internal support and brokers.
  • Identify and suggest solutions and proposals to mitigate risk and grow lending volumes.
  • Liaise with External and Internal teams as well as other levels of management to ensure the approved proposal moves efficiently and quickly to settlement.

About You

Ideally, you’ll have a relevant business qualification, alongside experience in business lending risk assessment. A qualification is not required if you can demonstrate extensive work experience in the field. You’ll have a strong commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret P&L statements, balance sheets and understand cash flow for businesses.

In addition, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of personal lending risk assessment, as well as the confidence to work independently. Importantly, you will also have great attention to detail and the drive to build this new division.

The ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with the team, Brokers and clients, providing outstanding customer service, both on the phone and in person, will be critical to your success.
