About the Opportunity

PBS Property Group is looking for a full-time Project Manager to join their team in Queensland, working out of Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Reporting to the Project Director, your key responsibility will be to lead and manage residential/commercial projects from start to delivery. You will also plan and control the design and construction of projects, ensuring their completion follows design requirements, time, safety criteria, quality cost and profit margins.

Core duties include:

  • Ensure that projects are adequately resourced to meet customer service, budget/profit, time, quality, safety, environmental and community liaison requirements;
  • Develop and review design and construction planning and monitor progress to ensure that all elements of the project work are on schedule and within cost estimates;
  • Proactively initiate corrective actions necessary to ensure project objectives are met;
  • Review and authorise design plans, construction plans, schedules, temporary work designs, method statements, job safety analyses and/or ensure that those allocated such responsibilities are appropriately qualified to do so; and
  • Manage the performance of all direct-report staff, including establishing clear responsibilities and authorities, and setting and reviewing personal performance objectives compatible with those of the project.

About You

PBS Property Group is looking for someone who has extensive experience in the construction industry as a Project Manager, with specific T2 experience in residential vertical towers and commercial projects. In addition, Design/Construct experience and the ability to drive projects from development approval through to completion is paramount. 

You will be a confident communicator and problem-solver with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to mitigate and resolve conflicts in a productive manner. Being a hands-on leader and managing stakeholders efficiently is a key focus of this role... it is important that you demonstrate these skills effectively.

Please Note: regular travel to sites around South-East Queensland will be required.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will receive an attractive remuneration circa $180,000 to $220,000 (dependent on experience and skills) and salary sacrificing options.
