Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with solid construction and design specification knowledge and understanding? This role is for you!
Reporting to our National Commercial Manager, you will be primarily responsible for increasing specification activity in NSW and establishing productive and professional relationships with key personnel and significant customers. You will also seek out business development opportunities and applications for Promat and EBP product solutions in new market segments throughout NSW.
Core duties:
- Provide the specification of Promat systems via architects and engineers;
- Follow-up project leads through successful builders and sub-contractors to ensure our products and services are the preferred choice;
- Assist Tunnel segment activity in NSW;
- Promote the company's image by representing us at appropriate industry functions;
- Liaise with management to discuss and report on current matters;
- Provide reports as directed by management for the State's activities;
- Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel and accounts; and
- Keep up to date with all National Building codes and regulations.
When communicating with all current and prospecting clients, you will represent Promat, its services and products while also ensuring that Promat becomes synonymous with the words "Fire Protection" and becomes the go-to choice for clients and prospects when fire protection is required.
What you will bring to the team
We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated individual who has a can-do attitude and proven experience as a Senior specification consultant. It is essential that you also have proven technical knowledge and a clear understanding of construction and building designs.
To succeed in this role, you will be able to build highly effective relationships with our clients and act as an expert advisor on their needs and wants. As such, you will have strong interpersonal skills and effectively communicate at all levels and provide excellent customer service to a wide range of stakeholders, such as builders, architects and engineers.
Although not essential, previous experience using Cordell and Salesforce are highly desirable.
