We are looking for individuals with winning personalities and who are able to provide support to our Business Development team and customers in New South Wales. With a growing market, this important and exciting role offers you a chance to provide excellent service and really make a difference to the quality of work our customers do.

We now have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Customer Support Officer to join our passionate team of professionals in Sydney. Reporting to the National Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for providing support to the New South Wales team and responding to customers' enquiries.

You will also source new sales leads through inbound lead follow-up, and cold calling and developing warm leads for the external sales team further.

More specifically, your core duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Forwarding qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure;
  • Actively demonstrating your ability to learn, retain and communicate to others relevant technical information of Promat systems and products;
  • Researching accounts, identifying key players and generating interest;
  • Following up project leads through successful builders and sub-contractors to ensure our products and services are the preferred choices;
  • Responding to customers' questions and sending them additional information; and
  • Liaising with management to discuss and report on current matters.

When communicating with all current and prospecting clients, you will represent Promat, its services and products while also ensuring that Promat becomes synonymous with the words "Fire Protection", and becomes the go-to choice for clients and prospects when fire protection is required.

What you will bring to the team

We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated individual who has a can-do attitude, willingness to learn and demonstrated experience working in internal sales and generating business. Ideally, you will also have experience with technical products and have an understanding of construction and building designs.

This role gives you an exciting opportunity to be innovative and solution-driven and control your processes and workflow. To be successful, you will be an avid communicator with exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.

Although not essential, previous experience using Cordell and Salesforce are highly desirable. If you don’t know Cordell or Salesforce, that’s okay. We’ll provide you with all the training you need to be successful in your career with us.
