About the Opportunity
Upper Hunter Shire Council has an excellent full-time opportunity for a Town Planner to join our Environmental & Community Services Directorate in Scone, NSW.
We are looking for an experienced Town Planner who will take responsibility for the division’s town planning, building and regulatory services and oversee a small team of diverse and professional individuals. Your team will cover a large area within our shire, so regular travel to the communities will be a requirement of the role, and a work vehicle will be provided.
Your key focus will be to ensure the team is working to achieve a range of community priorities and strategic goals, meeting performance targets and legislative requirements.
About You
The successful candidate will have a degree in Town Planning, Urban & Regional Planning, or similar qualifications. Several years experience in these fields is required and will assist you to hit the ground running in this role.
This role will provide you the opportunity to work autonomously on high level projects, making decisions that will positively impact the organisation and the community! Your excellent communication skills will enable you to collaborate effectively with tradespeople and the wider community to support the effective project outcomes.
