Marine Rescue NSW (MRNSW) is an essential emergency service. It protects the NSW community by providing marine search and rescue response, monitoring, responding to maritime radio communications and delivering safety education programs. We work with other emergency services, particularly the NSW Police Force, and promote boating and water safety through community events, education, and engagement activities.
Your next adventure
We step into 2022 looking for a driven and enthusiastic Capability Manager to join our dedicated team in Cronulla. You will work closely with specialist training staff in operational zones and connect with other MRNSW teams that can contribute insights into training and capability needs, opportunities and trends across the organisation and the emergency sector as a whole.
Reporting to the General Manager – Training and Capability, your key responsibility will be to develop a contemporary platform of accredited learning and assessment solutions to meet the needs of legislated emergency service and the management of robust systems to support registered training organisation (RTO) status, Learning/Student Management Systems (LMS/SMS) and internal records management.
Your day-to-day will involve:
- Developing, delivering and monitoring operational training curriculum and content;
- Engaging and collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders; and
- Maintaining information and data systems, Learning/Student Management Systems and internal records management.
Our next superstar
We are looking for a collaborative and confident individual with at least two years of experience in a senior position designing, managing, reviewing and improving training materials and assessment strategies across a range of delivery platforms. You will also have proven experience working across emergency service organisations creating and designing engaging and impactful development tools and content.
To succeed, you will be an outgoing individual with effective communication and strong interpersonal skills and be able to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including members, volunteers and various levels of the business.
Moreover, you will have experience with Learning Management Systems such as Etrainu.
Although not essential, tertiary qualifications in adult education, organisation development, quality management and/or eLearning is highly desirable.
