BirdLife Australia is a national, grassroots charity with over 280,000 supporters. We have been the voice of Australia’s birdlife for over a century, from protecting birds and their habitats to on-ground projects and advocacy informed by rigorous science. Our core programs adopt a multi-species landscape-scale approach to conservation, including beach-nesting shorebirds, woodland birds, mallee birds and globally important habitats, which we call Key Biodiversity Areas.

We are on the lookout for a Marketing Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will use digital technologies and data-driven insights to drive the highest standards of supporter experience management across BirdLife Australia’s marketing activities.

This role comes with an attractive salary circa $70,000 (dependent on skills and experience) plus 10% super. You will also enjoy great benefits, including additional special leave entitlements and 17.5% leave loading.

Your next opportunity

You will recruit and onboard new supporters, donors, members and volunteers while ensuring they are welcomed and engaged with the organisation. You will do this primarily through the development and delivery of digital promotional campaigns, marketing events and activities.

You will also develop and plan our annual Aussie Bird Count event. This annual supporter recruitment campaign is designed to reach BirdLife's market and engage new and existing allowing us to look at annual trends in our bird communities over time.

Working closely with all supporter-dependent functions, from fundraising, volunteering, campaigning to bird surveying and membership, you will ultimately lead increased supporter growth, lifetime value and engagement outcomes.

What you will bring to the team

Our ideal candidate will have qualifications in Marketing or Event Management and previous experience working in engagement, direct marketing or promotional campaigns. You will also have previous experience in planning, implementing and evaluating marketing events and/or campaigns.

This role requires the flexibility to adapt to a changing workload across the year utilising excellent prioritisation and time management skills. This would suit someone with a keen eye for detail with experience working in a fast-paced environment.

You will also be required to to effectively engage and work alongside various members of the executive team and the overall organisation. You will be an effective communicator with strong collaboration and relationship management skills.
