What you'll be doing:
Whilst you will usually service around 3 residential projects per day, you will also represent J & D at a small selection of commercial projects. Say goodbye to huge daily commutes! Where you work depends on where you live.
Your day to-day duties will consist of (but will not be limited to)
- Diagnose, maintain, replace and repair electrical systems
- Complete and record projects, making referrals and recommendations as required
- Troubleshoot and ensure all maintenance is conducted to Australian standards
What are we looking for?
To be successful as a J&D Electrician there are several skills and attributes that you will need to demonstrate. You will require a Certificate III in Electrotechnology or similar with previous experience in renovation and home maintenance or general electro-maintenance. It is important to note that we would be willing to take on a third-year apprentice, providing they can demonstrate initiative and a commitment to getting the job done properly. Although not required, if you can demonstrate experience/licensing in air conditioning, gas, or working with heights these will be highly favoured.
Just as crucial to your success will be the personal attributes you can demonstrate. We place an emphasis on our employees being reliable and trustworthy with good communication skills, allowing you to work effectively with customers and staff.
