What you'll be doing
Your primary responsibility in the role will be to carry out both planned and ad-hoc maintenance tasks across a region as far south as the Gold Coast and as far north as Caboolture. This area is divided into zones and you will be allocated to the zone you reside in, meaning you won't have to drive for hours! Your usual hours will start at 7am and will consist of arriving on the job site in the morning and assessing the job and how you can fix it. After this you will usually head to your nearest hardware store to source any equipment you need, then head back to the site to complete the job in a high-quality yet efficient manner.
Your day to-day duties will consist of (but will not be limited to)
- Plastering - set and sand
- Tiling - Small areas such as bathrooms and vanities
- Silicone Sealing
- Patch and painting walls and ceilings
What are we looking for?
To be successful as a Maintenance Carpenter with us there are several skills and attributes that you will need to demonstrate. You will require a Certificate III in Carpentry with previous experience in renovation and home maintenance or general carpentry. It is important to note that we would be willing to take on a third-year apprentice, providing they can demonstrate initiative and a commitment to getting the job done properly.
Just as crucial to your success will be the personal attributes you can demonstrate. We place an emphasis on our employees being reliable and trustworthy with good communication skills, allowing you to work effectively with customers and staff. It is imperative that you remember that you are acting as a company representative and that you must conduct yourself in a professional manner. It is also crucial that you have at minimum, a basic level of technological understanding so you can correctly report the completion of jobs and fill out relevant documentation.

Please note: An unrestricted Australian Manual Drivers License will be essential for this role. While Milwaukee power tools are provided, carpenters will be required to supply their own hand tools.
