Taralga Retirement Village
Taralga Retirement Village is a community-owned and managed Residential Aged Care facility that provides care to twenty-two low to high care residents.
Our mission is to provide quality care and assistance to our residents, to enable them to perform the activities of daily living in a safe and friendly home-like environment. While doing so, we remain attentive to the resident's physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs while offering support and understanding in a dignified, respectful manner.
We are now looking for a part-time (3 days a week) Clinical Manager to join our team in Western Downs, QLD and help us fulfil our mission of quality care. If you are looking for full-time hours, we also have additional Nursing shifts to fill the rest of your week.

Our new Clinical Manager
As our new Clinical Manager, you will organise and oversee all of the nursing/resident care operations of Taralga. In this role, you will support the Business Manager with staffing and be responsible for all aspects of residential care.
Crucial to your success is your ability to create a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies, while fostering a caring environment, that will guide everyone working together to benefit our centre and residents alike.
Core duties:
- Design, develop and implement innovative policies and/or practices relating to improving facility performance;
- Initiate and manage consultation with different agencies to advocate for the needs of the client community and to deliver a service that meets these needs;
- Be responsible for the delivery of resident centred quality care, based on individual needs; and
- Control budgets and monitor expenditures.
What we need from you
To thrive in this role, you will be a hardworking and compassionate individual who possesses qualifications as a Registered Nurse and an AHPRA registration. You will also have proven experience as a Clinical Manager or similar and have comprehensive knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and its application in an aged care environment.
You will need to have the following certificates and licenses:
- CPR and First Aid Certificates;
- C Class Driver's License;
- Be completing or be willing to undertake an Infection Prevention and Control Lead;
- Current Police Certificate Check; and
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate (all three doses).
This role requires you to effectively engage and build relationships with various stakeholders, including government and non-government agencies, team members, and our residents and their family members. As such, you will have high levels of communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation, consultation and the ability to write comprehensive reports.
