About the Opportunity
Regis Group has a fantastic opportunity for empathetic and dedicated Registered Nurses and a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join their welcoming teams throughout South Queensland.
Registered Nurses (FT or PT)
Within these vital and valued roles, it will be your responsibility to deliver direct and comprehensive nursing care to Regis' residents, demonstrating and applying knowledge in all aspects of care.
Some of your more specific day to day duties will include:
- Resident advocacy, including acting at all times to protect the rights of residents in areas such as confidentiality, privacy, individual choice and decision making;
- Clinical management and monitoring of residents' health care status;
- Medication management according to legislative guidelines;
- Maintaining clinical records;
- Providing emotional support to residents; and
- Being responsive to the needs of residents, families, advocates and other staff.
The successful applicants will be Registered Nurses, willing to work as part of a team, and able to communicate effectively with residents, family, staff and other health professionals. You will report to either the Clinical Manager or Facility Manager, and may also have staff reporting to you.
Both full-time and permanent part-time options are available. Full-time shifts are 36 hours per week and may include weekends, evenings and nights. Permanent part-time hours are 16 hours per week. Regis go to great lengths to accommodate the shifts that suit you most.
Clinical Nurse Coordinator (FT)
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all care and lifestyle staff together with volunteers to foster resident independence, dignity and choice and achieve business objectives associated with revenue and cost. Simultaneously you will be responsible for delivering on the Regis value proposition: Living with Support.
Some of your specific responsibilities will be to:
- Influence, motivate, develop and coach staff to meet agreed performance outcomes;
- Convert care and business initiatives into achievable care plans and engage staff at the residence level in the implementation;
- Encourage customer feedback and evaluate, coordinate and implement appropriate actions in response;
- Ensure that at all times all equipment is fully maintained and replaced as necessary;
- Maximise cash flow and revenue generation and minimise costs through effective use of business systems, processes, stock control and associated documentation management;
- Recruit, retain and develop appropriately qualified staff to ensure quality and continuity of resident care and lifestyle needs in accordance with Regis Employment Policy and agreed staffing levels; and
- Ensure that staff learning, performance and development plans are developed and implemented to strengthen the collective capability to meet the needs of residents and the business and address all mandatory training requirements.
The successful candidate will be registered with the NSW Nurses Board and will hold a current practicing certificate. Regis is seeking an individual with demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in the Aged Care Industry, and knowledge and experience in the ACFI funding system.
You will be required to undergo a Current Police Record Clearance.
